Here is a quite detailed biography of actor Bill Murray, classic comedian and now well respected serious actor. It’s fairly interesting if you’re into biography.
Ever get on the net and have one of those sessions where you start off looking at one thing and just surf off and wind up looking at something else entirely? I call it tangential surfing, scooting off on wild tangents and ending up who-knows-where. For example from Phil Baker’s Blog, to a page on atheism which mentioned that the child who refused to say school prayers in the USA (ultimately getting public school prayer banned) was named Bill Murray. Wondering if this could be the same Bill Murray as the actor I Googled him and came up with this bio. Turns out it’s not the same guy. But a good example of going off on a tangent… I never did finish reading the article about atheism.

It seems like two out of three emails I’m getting at the moment seem to be viruses, in addition to the usual steasy stream of spam (the makers of that Spiced Ham in a can product must hate the fact that their trade name has been stolen) I agree with recent comments made by Bill Gates and others that the email system is in desperate need of an overhaul – perhaps they do need to start charging “postage” as suggested by some, like 1c an email. It’s very frustrating.
Looks like I’m soon going to be in need of some clothes to go cycling in – I went for a ride early this morning while everyone else was asleep and it was very chilly, even though it’s still only early autumn. Might need to invest in a decent tracksuit or something. Good day planned for today after a fairly cheerful one yesterday – off to AquaJetty for a swim with Owen and some friends this morning, then having them back here for Tacos for lunch. Continuing the Mexican theme we’re off to Fremantle in the evening to have dinner at The Mexican Kitchen and then maybe just browse some bookshops for a while.
