Crime = Boring
I don’t know if anyone else feels this way, but I am so totally bored with Crime. Whether it’s a report in the newspaper or on the TV news, or even police & legal drama shows, they all bore me to tears. Last night for example on the ABC news they devoted the first 4 stories, probably about a third of their show, to telling about this escape of prisoners from the Supreme Court in Perth yesterday. I’ll admit it’s newsworthy, but suerly just one report would have been enough. And the first three or four pages of the paper today were devoted to the same thing. Stories about local crime and court proceedings just have no interest to me. I’d much rather they focussed on politics (preferable federal more than state), international news, science, technology, even entertainment and the arts. As I said maybe it’s just me, but I think overall these stories are more important than another prison escape, or concenience store robbery or granny bashing.
