Religion and Politics

Categories : Politics |

I’ve posted a few times in the last few months on the role religion should play in politics – specifically how should a Christian politician harmonise their faith and their political life? (with reference to people such as Tony Abbott and Peter Costello, who’ve both made speeches on this issue)

Along similar lines I’ve just discovered an interesting paper which is discussed in depth by Warren at the View from the Pew blog. It’s a discussion paper about the civic responsibility of evangelical Christians. It’s American in focus but looks like it might have good application to Australia and other places also. So that’s the last of my blogging for this evening – I’m off to go read it, and the maybe watch some more West Wing Season 3 on DVD, to keep the political flavour going…

Thank you for having this great site. It’s hard finding ones that deal with Christian family film news and uplifting subjects. I truly appreciate this and your post has made me very happy.
