Not such a slowhand

I read this news story earlier - guitar legend Eric Clapton was clocked at 216kph driving in his Porsche in France, 86kph above the the limit. I think if I had a Porsche the temptation to really let it go occaisionally would be hard to fight. Actually I was offered a Porsche the other day by one of the other doctors at my practice to try and entice me to stay there permanently. It’s a shame he was joking… at least I think he was.

They’ve just mentioned the Eric Clapton story on the late news and it was reported as “famous singer Eric Clapton was caught speeding” - now we see how far Clapton has fallen when he’s known for being a singer! Pretty sad for one of the greatest guitarists of all time, first a slide from classic rock into easy listening (albeit very good easy listening), now he’s more known to the public for his singing rather than his guitar playing.

Now quick trivia question - can anyone tell me the Clapton connection to this blog? :-)

Anyway bragging over - today was a full day seminar on Psych from one of the UWA Professors, and I actually really enjoyed it, but it clearly brought to light my mixed feelings about the whole discipline.
